The Catholic Archdiocese of Freetown in Sierra Leone has witnessed a series of significant events in recent times. Sr. Teresa McKeon was honored with the prestigious Presidential Distinguished Service Award from the Republic of Ireland.
Meanwhile, Caritas and the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) celebrated the Tzu Chi Foundation’s decade-long support. In another development, Archbishop Edward T. Charles officially opened the St. Peter’s Junior Seminary in Kingtom on February 17, 2025.
Additionally, St. Paul’s Major Seminary marked its jubilee year with a public lecture on the Church’s role in promoting reconciliation, unity, and good governance. The Archdiocese of Freetown also took steps to enhance media visibility for its teams.
